Electrical Maintenance Technician (Night Crew)

Your Schedule:

We offer two shift options for this role: a 3rd shift from 10 PM to 6 AM, or a 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule from 6 PM to 6 AM, which involves working every other weekend.

What You'll Do:

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for all electrical and electronic systems, keeping our operations running smoothly. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting & Repair: You'll diagnose and fix electrical and electronic issues across all equipment, from process and utility systems to control loops.
  • Control System Mastery: You'll handle everything related to control systems, including advanced troubleshooting, PLC programming, documentation, and software backups.
  • Calibration & Precision: You'll set up and maintain control loop calibration routes, ensuring equipment controls operate within precise design parameters.
  • Technical Documentation & Training: You'll create and update technical schematics, documentation, and training materials, sharing your knowledge through formal training, hands-on sessions, and clear written procedures.
  • Expert Guidance: You'll provide essential technical support and guidance to your colleagues in operations, engineering, and maintenance.
  • Leadership & Initiative: You'll step up to lead in situations requiring advanced electrical/electronic knowledge or when unexpected issues arise.
  • Project Participation: You'll play a vital role in special projects, including training, emergency and scheduled maintenance, and developing new procedures.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: You should have at least 6 years of verifiable experience in electronics and instrumentation. We'll also consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding of Proportional-Integral-Differential (PID) control loops and AC/DC drives.
  • Proficiency in assessing, examining, questioning, and evaluating PLC program logic.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, or similar methodologies is a bonus.
  • Safety Mindset: You must prioritize safety as a core value, leading by example and promoting adherence to all safety practices and procedures.
  • Computer Skills: Comfortable using computer systems such as Google Sheets/Docs, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and other function-specific software.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
