Crusher Operator
Independence Excavating is looking for an experienced and ambitious Crusher Operator to join our team! The Crusher Operator is responsible for the operation and necessary maintenance of assigned Heavy Equipment in carrying out tasks to process different aggregates.

Responsibilities:
- The Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to operate and perform servicing and maintenance or refer issues to supervision as required.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Perform daily adjustments as directed to equipment settings to optimize performance and safe operation.
- Responsible for general and specific safety practices, following company safety procedures and complying with all necessary contractor and regulatory standards.
- Maintain strong communications with team to ensure efficient and safe workflow.
- Assist team with any repairs or maintenance activities.
- Complete all necessary daily paperwork including but not limited to regulatory compliance and pre-operation inspections.
- Listen for unusual noise or indications for potential issues.
- Perform all assigned and required training.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Excavator / Associated Attachments
- Skid Steer
- Concrete Crusher / Screeners
- Shovel and other Hand Tools
- Manlift / Telehandler
- Water Truck
Do you have what it takes?
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum (2) two years Heavy Equipment experience required; (5) five years experience in Crushing/Mining or relative industry strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices is required.
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of product loading trailers, plants, transports scales is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a team.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Adherence to Drug Free Workplace protocols.
- Must be willing to travel to other work sites.
