Hydraulic Excavation Equipment Operator

Sullivan County Department of Public Works/Solid Waste is seeking to fill the following position:

HYDRAULIC EXCAVATION EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

This is skilled mechanical work involving the operation of hydraulic excavation equipment. Operation of this type of equipment entails responsibility for the safety of others. Employees in this class are usually responsible for maintenance of their equipment. The work is performed under general supervision. May lead a work crew in the absence of a supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of experience in the operation of hydraulic excavation equipment and demonstrated competency in the operation of a rubber tired hydraulic excavator or backhoe

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT: Possession of a New York State CDL - B license.

Salary: Entry: $31.9508 Full: $32.4508 per hour
