Lydig is looking for a dynamic BIM/VDC Engineer to help continue our legacy of providing premier construction services. The BIM/VDC Engineer will work with Lydig's operations and business development departments, as well as business partners in the A/E/C industry, to integrate virtual design and construction on our projects. An ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, advanced knowledge of virtual construction and a strong desire to be part of the teams working on a wide range of project types. Role is based out of the Belleuve office but will require travel to jobsites across Washington and frequent required travel to our Spokane Office.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Produce from Design & MEP shop drawings
Concrete shop drawings for field positions
3D Models for layout team to use in the self-perform construction
Assist in the management of the content and structure of the Model Library and Database
Assist Marketing with RFP's and presentations
Support estimating, preconstruction, and business development efforts with model-based takeoffs, logistics visuals, and RFP content.
Provide model management via the Content Plan
Maintain and update model, communicate revisions to stakeholders
Deliver model-based as-builts to aid in project turnover and closeout.
Assist in constructability reviews during pre-construction
Assist in construction coordination and clash detection during construction
Contribute to VDC best practices and procedures
Regular communication on the BIM/VDC Process to internal team, subcontractors, etc. in regard to implementation and use of BIM technology
Support and in some cases Lead BIM coordination meetings and manage constructability reviews, clash detection, and QA/QC for building systems during design and construction phases.
Develop and maintain project models for field layout, 4D sequencing, self-perform planning, and logistics in collaboration with project teams and field staff
Utilize laser scanning, drones, and other reality capture tools to document site conditions and support QA/QC efforts.
Provide VDC training and mentorship to project and field staff; implement model viewing platforms and maintain VDC standards and libraries
Regularly bring new technology and advancements to the team and implement
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrated 3 years plus years industry experience in commercial building construction
Demonstrated 3 plus years competence and consistent use in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD
Demonstrated competency modeling from 2D documents and creating up to Level 300 for structural, architectural, MEP and Civil
A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture preferred
Experience with Layout and Leica Products Preferred
Experience with various MEP's preferred.
Experience with BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred.
A strong service-orientation and prior proven success in handling heavy customer service responsibilities, dealing with an internal client base
A commitment to continual learning and development; the demonstrated ability to rapidly assimilate new information, analyze it appropriately and apply it in new situations as they arise
The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
Other Requirements:
Current driver's license and an acceptable driving record as defined by Lydig's insurance company and vehicle policy, if applicable for auto allowance
Must be able to pass pre-employment checks including a Drug Screen, Criminal Background and possibly Credit check
