Shipboard Electrician II

Epsilon Systems Solutions is seeking a full time Shipboard Electrician II in San Diego, CA.

Summary: This position will provide day-to-day work onboard CVNs, the CNAP Valve Barge or at NASNI.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts ship check(s) to verify Automated Work Request (AWR) requirements.

  • Assesses and repairing shipboard auxiliary and / or galley and laundry equipment.

  • Works as a general mechanic at times as well.

  • Trains Ship's Force on how to accomplish AWR repairs.

  • Researches US Navy and COTS Technical manuals and / or drawings to identify repair parts.

  • Contacts vendors as required for parts support / technical information (as required).

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 12 years of experience with either shipboard marine electrical or skilled trades experience with related maintenance and repair experience

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or other mechanical technical data pertaining to the construction and operation of naval equipment.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DBIDs credential and base access

  • Ability to diagnose equipment to repair, install and test electrical circuits, equipment and appliances.

  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical controls, industrial motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers

  • Familiarity with shipboard, food services and laundry equipment.

  • Familiarity in shipboard Work Authorization Forms (WAFs), Tag Outs and eSOMs.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics for wiring installation and work from standard and metric specifications.

Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $32.30 to $37.00 Per Hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

  • Required to walk, stand, climb stairs, have dexterity as well as visual skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to work shipboard and go up and down ladders
