Team Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Staff Analog Design Engineer to join our team focused on the development of next-generation RFID tag integrated circuits. In this role, you will contribute to the design and optimization of ultra-low-power analog and mixed-signal circuits used in passive and active RFID systems.
What You Will Do:
- Own the design of analog and mixed-signal blocks such as rectifiers, regulators, oscillators, ADCs, comparators, and analog front-ends for RFID tags, while understanding system-level analysis and trade-offs in collaboration with digital, RF, and verification teams
- Drive transistor-level design, simulation, layout supervision, and post-layout verification (PEX/LVS/DRC)
- Ensure successful silicon implementation by validating analog IP in the lab-owning hands-on debugging, characterization, and issue resolution as needed to confirm that designs meet performance expectations in hardware
- Own and create design reviews and design documentation, and support tape out processes
- Collaborate effectively on designs with peers, leads, and management; communicate effectively and clearly about relevant technical challenges and progress
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 8+ years of hands-on experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design, preferably in low-power and energy-harvesting applications; Master's or PhD in engineering preferred
- High Proficient with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, LSF, SVN, Siemens Calibre, etc.)
- Strong understanding of analog, RF, and mixed-signal IC design and verification fundamentals including transistor theories (e.g. doping, gate oxide thickness, sub-threshold operation, gain, linearity, noise, matching, stability, etc.)
- Understanding debug and characterization, and layout-aware IC design.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with peers and management
- Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, VNA, etc.) for silicon validation and debug
- Preferred skill in ultra-low-power design techniques
- Familiarity with digital-analog co-design and mixed-signal verification
- Preferred background in RFID protocol, energy harvesting, or secure ICs is a bonus
