A 15+ year-old company in Portland is looking for a talented bat laborer. 10 - 20 hours per week to start, Monday through Friday, specific days and hours to be determined upon hire, must stick to schedule once set.
Primary Duties:
- Assemble bats for sale - visit MaxBP.com to learn about our products
- Assembly involves using a drill press and epoxy gun
- This job requires someone who is meticulous and very detail oriented, we are looking for someone to take a lead role in this position once fully trained
- We sell a high-end product thus, you must be able to perform tasks with the highest level of accuracy
- All work must be documented
Work Duties May Also Include:
- Printing from computer to laser and label printers
- Packing/wrapping/sealing, boxing, and labeling shipments to customers and pallets to fulfillment centers
- Product testing/Quality control: examine products to confirm they meet company standards
- Complete and maintain all production records
- Report all problems and malfunctions
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized working environment for all staff and personnel
Experience:
- Previous experience in production is required.
- Must be mechanically inclined and be comfortable using tools and light machinery.
Pay:
- Depends on experience and part-time or full-time
- $23.50/hour to start, eligible for a raise or salary position after 90-day probationary period
- Reviews every six months after the first 90-day review to end the probationary period.
Benefits:
- Sick Pay (1 hour for every 30 worked, from day 1)
- Paid day off on your birthday for year 2 of employment forward
- 401k (eligible 1st day of the month on your 4th month of work)
- 8 paid holidays (if full-time Salary)
- Vacation Pay (eligible 1st day of the month on your 4th month of work)

Requirements:
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to multi-task using necessary math skills and auditing paperwork
- Must be able to work overtime and on weekends when necessary
- Timeliness, quality, and punctuality are mandatory. This includes following all rules and regulations, including safety, attendance, breaks, etc., established by management.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and reach with hands and arms and perform lifting duties without assistance, package weight varies from 1 to 50 pounds.
