Carpenter**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled carpenter with expertise in various carpentry techniques. The role involves mold production using materials such as plywood, OSB, EPS foam, pliable rubber, and spray plastic based on shop drawings. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or equivalent experience is required.

**Responsibilities**

+ Read and interpret shop drawings accurately.

+ Follow supervisors instructions for design and layout.

+ Assess the quality of woodwork and materials.

+ Operate power tools, including a table saw, and other equipment.

+ Stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.

+ Complete a recognized apprenticeship or have a minimum of 4 years experience as a journey-level carpenter.

+ Obtain additional certification if required.

+ Communicate effectively with team members.

+ Maintain physical fitness with good hand-eye coordination.

+ Apply knowledge of mathematics in carpentry tasks.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency in carpentry techniques.

+ Experience with hand tools and power tools.

+ Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.

+ Rough carpentry skills and layout design expertise.

+ Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Additional certification may be required.

+ Good communication skills.

+ Good hand-eye coordination.

**Work Environment**

The role is based in a concrete manufacturing plant, which can be a loud environment at times. It is deadline-driven and fast-paced, offering the chance to work with a variety of employees and personalities. The dress code includes dirty/industrial clothing such as jeans, steel toe boots, and a work polo or clean t-shirt.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gardiner, New York.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
