Job Title : Mechanical Engineer
Location : Lafayette, IN (Onsite)
Duration : Full Time Role
Provide engineering support primarily for lubrication and cooling domain on large commercial engines. Determine suitability of applying existing components and/or sub-systems to new engine design programs or upgrades to existing applications Lead and manage requirements definition, design concepts, analysis/simulation, design down select, validation activities within the NPI / CPI process Lead and support the closure of formal CPI (Continuous Product Improvement) and NPI (New Product Introduction) issues Lead team meetings with Lube Systems suppliers to manage existing purchased finished components and to develop new purchased finished components from concept thru start of production Collaborate with internal process partners, suppliers, and internal/external customers on multiple projects that will be taking place simultaneously Create and present informal and formal design reviews
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum and 3+ years of progressive work experience Component and system level design experienceExperience with Large Engine NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Continuous Product Improvement) process and timelinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organization and time management skills
