Finish Carpentry Job Description The Finish Carpentry will be responsible for completing a variety of finish carpentry tasks, including setting millwork and cabinetry, installing laminate countertops, and performing trim work. The role involves preparing and cleaning up job sites, reading tape measures and using saws, hanging drywall, and interpreting drawings for commercial carpentry work. Candidates will cut, shape, and install building materials to construct frames for buildings and structures. Responsibilities Complete finish carpentry tasks such as setting millwork and cabinetry. Install laminate countertops. Prepare and clean up job sites. Perform finish carpentry and trim work. Read tape measures and use saws. Hang drywall and interpret drawings for commercial carpentry work. Cut, shape, and install building materials for building frames. Essential Skills Experience in construction and finish carpentry. Ability to read blueprints and execute metal finishing. Competence in framing and commercial construction tasks. Proficiency in using carpentry tools such as tape measures and saws. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift 50+ pounds. 2+ years of experience in finish carpentry preferred. Familiarity with tools: belt, hammer, boots, screwdriver, utility knife, foot level. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
