HVAC Technician Job Description The HVAC Technician is responsible for diagnosing, installing, servicing, and repairing residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems. You will perform inspections and test systems to ensure they meet plan and specification standards, while prioritizing and completing tasks in a timely manner. Responsibilities Diagnose, install, service, and repair heating and air conditioning systems. Perform inspections and test systems for compliance with standards. Conduct load calculations, sizing, and selecting equipment, ductwork, and piping design. Perform field verification of existing systems, available space, and clearances. Arrange for in-house quality reviews to ensure client needs are met. Ensure timely completion and quality of all work and services performed. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Keep the work area clean and organized. Resolve customer complaints or answer customer questions regarding policies and procedures. Document completed work daily. Display a professional and courteous attitude at all times. Adhere strictly to safety requirements and the Code of Business Ethics. Willing to work rotational shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends as required. Essential Skills Solid knowledge of HVAC repair, maintenance, and installation techniques. Basic working knowledge of HVAC controls and humidification systems. Experience as a sheet metal and HVAC installer. Ability to manage projects and work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in using computers, including Microsoft Office and Outlook. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Good time management, communication, and follow-up skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications EPA Universal certification. Must possess all necessary tools and test equipment.
