We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our clinical research team. The primary responsibility for this position will initially involve managing the Remotely-delivered Supportive Programs for Improving Surgical Pain and Distress (RESPITE) Study and additional projects, as needed. This study is designed to determine the efficacy of eHealth Mindful Movement and Breathing (eMMB) for improving postoperative pain and psychological distress among women undergoing surgery for suspected gynecologic malignancies. Example tasks that this job will require include:
- Identify eligible participants using the electronic health record, recruit participants, and maintain screening/enrollment logs
- Maintain Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval and other regulatory requirements
- Meet with participants and provide caring conversation intervention in a clinical setting
- Assist in preparation of progress reports
- Represent the study in clinical team meetings
- Draft agendas and summaries of study team meetings
- Coordinate study activities with collaborators (e.g., from our Clinical Translational Science Institute and Comprehensive Cancer Center) including:
- Administration and data entry of patient questionnaires
- Interventionists and study interviewers schedules
- Spirometery assessment
- Activity monitoring device management (e.g., programming, cleaning data)
- Completion of medical chart reviews
- Participant payment
- Assist with tracking of study expenses and budget management
The candidate may also be asked to contribute to other research activities such as manuscript, presentation, and grant preparation. This position requires the ability to work onsite every day depending on participant needs with the flexibility to also work remotely.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Health, Basic Science, or a relevant clinical discipline with two years survey research experience including interviewing, supervision of data collection procedures, and training; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree in a relevant discipline preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of certain phases of the assigned project(s). Translates planning and design decisions into concrete activities and tasks to be undertaken and set priorities as appropriate.
- Responsible for the administration and coordination of various aspects of the study.
- Responsible for ensuring that aspects of the study are conducted in accordance with the study protocol.
- Coordinates the hiring of study personnel and provides training, direction, guidance, and evaluation of work activities.
- Coordinates recruitment, data collection, and follow-up activities.
- Oversees and develops collection methods. Creates and revises study materials, forms, manuals, and brochures as requested.
- Develops reporting procedures and provides progress reports.
- Develops and documents quality control monitoring procedures and standards.
- Develops computerized methods for monitoring and reporting on various aspects of the study.
- Represents the project(s) to all related community agencies and organizations, serving as the study's liaison, spokesperson, and representative.
- Establishes and maintain separate billing files on specific accounts related to individual departments/sections during the course of the project.
- Orders and maintains adequate supplies for the project.
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Pay Range
