Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. This position involves working with a variety of equipment, including excavators, skid loaders, small engines, and welding equipment. The primary focus will be on coordinating with the Equipment Manager and servicing equipment within the Phoenix metro area and occasionally in Flagstaff. The role requires independence and the ability to travel to various work sites each day, while ensuring you return home each night.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy construction equipment.
+ Maintain and repair equipment such as excavators, skid loaders, and small engines.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
+ Coordinate with the Equipment Manager and occasionally work with a fueler.
+ Travel to multiple work sites daily, ranging from Coolidge to Tonopah.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
**Essential Skills**
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment repair.
+ Customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
+ Experience in welding and working with pneumatic systems.
+ Organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Good communication skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ CDL required with a clean driving record.
+ Understanding of ADOT and DOT requirements for truck drivers.
+ Some mechanics may possess Hazmat certifications.

**Work Environment**

A work truck equipped with torch and welding equipment will be provided, and basic tools are required for the role.

The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $79000.00/yr.
