Position: CARPENTER

Salary: $22.79 Per Hour

Department: Parks and Recreation/Parks

Location: John Prince Park, 2700 6th Avenue S., Lake Worth

Hours: 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., Monday - Friday

Other: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid Florida Drivers License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

Skilled work requiring rough/finish carpentry in all phases of construction at the journey-level. Performs alterations, repair/maintenance of building floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, concrete forms, wood fixtures, and furniture. Works from blueprints to order materials and fabricate major projects. Uses standard trade practices and all hand/bench/power-driven tools and machinery.

The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners provides an excellent QUALIFICATIONS :

Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of four (4) years of experience in the major elements of the trade that includes rough and finish carpentry.

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH : Reading blueprints/construction plans. Also desirable: Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in carpentry.
