The Camera team is seeking a mechanical engineer to own the mechanical design of high-volume camera depth modules (shipping examples include FaceID and Lidar for iPhone).As part of our Camera Technologies group, youll help create the innovative depth sensing technology in each new generation of Apple products. Youll be a part of the design process for everything involved in our depth camera systems, from sensor to lens. Youll collaborate with teams across Apple to design, develop, manufacture, and test depth-sensing modules for Apple products.

Description

Description Your role will be to own and drive all mechanical aspects of a camera depth module from concept to mass production. You will create the CAD design, 2D drawings, and tolerance analysis for components and assemblies. You will engage with our overseas mechanical vendors, review DFM feedback, and approve inspection reports. As dimensional data becomes available during the NPI cycle, you will analyze the data to show trends and identify possible areas of concern. Day-to-day, you will collaborate with optical, electrical, reliability, process, and design lead engineers. You will also present designs and data in large forums to cross-functional teams.

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
