As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring that concrete surfaces are finished to the highest standards of quality. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying and finishing concrete, and performing various tasks to achieve a smooth and durable final product. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience in concrete finishing.

Primary Duties:

Prepare surfaces for pouring concrete by removing debris, leveling, and ensuring proper alignment and grading.

Mix concrete according to specifications and pour it into forms, ensuring proper placement and distribution.

Apply finishes to concrete surfaces using tools such as trowels, floats, and brushes. Achieve desired texture and smoothness while addressing any imperfections.

Inspect finished work for quality and compliance with project specifications. Make necessary adjustments to meet standards.

Maintain and clean tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition. Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Work closely with other team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher or in a related role.
  • Skills: Proficient in using concrete finishing tools and equipment. Strong understanding of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work with precision and accuracy.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in concrete finishing and safety procedures are a plus.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around maintenance sites, see, hear and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Ability to perform manual labor under dirty and uncomfortable situations and in all types of weather. Work in inclement weather environments for extend periods. May be required to be on call on a rotational basis as directed. Travel to remote sites may be required.
