Electrician III

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.

Responsibilities: Performs assigned preventive, routine and emergency electrician tasks including testing and repair of campus electrical service equipment, electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic systems of campus machinery. Tests back-up power systems as assigned. Performs on-call duties as assigned. Exhibits exceptional customer service and team skills. Integrates safety procedures into every job task.
Minimum Requirements:

1. Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the Universitys mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
2. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
3. A minimum of five (5) years employment experience in electrical maintenance and/or electrical construction is required.
4. Experience testing back-up power systems is preferred.
5. Experience working with low voltage to 240V is required.
6. Licensure is preferred (journeyman or master).
7. Experience working with 480V three phase power is preferred
8. Experience as an electrician in an educational, hospital or similar setting is preferred.
9. Proficiency in the use of power tools (drills, saws, etc.) is required.
10. The successful completion of OSHA/safety training in PPE, lock-out tag-out and related topics is strongly preferred.
11. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
12. Must possess a current and valid Texas drivers license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
13. Must agree to the University's Employee Statement of Understanding
