Minimum Requirements:
- Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the Universitys mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years employment experience in electrical maintenance and/or electrical construction is required.
- Experience testing back-up power systems is preferred.
- Experience working with low voltage to 240V is required.
- Licensure is preferred (journeyman or master).
- Experience working with 480V three phase power is preferred
- Experience as an electrician in an educational, hospital or similar setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of power tools (drills, saws, etc.) is required.
- The successful completion of OSHA/safety training in PPE, lock-out tag-out and related topics is strongly preferred.
- Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
- Must possess a current and valid Texas drivers license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
- Must agree to the University's Employee Statement of Understanding
