About being our Professional Civil Engineer - Site/Land Development
As a Professional Civil Engineer, supporting our Site/Land Development Engineering Team in our downtown Los Angeles, CA office, you'll utilize your expertise to contribute work performed on Site/Land Development and Public Works projects while working in a team-oriented setting and interacting with clients. Typical projects include planning and design of exciting development projects throughout Los Angeles and Southern California. Clients include but not limited to local and regional municipalities, private commercial, hospitality and retail developers, school districts and higher education institutions.
Responsibility Highlights for our Professional Civil Engineer - Site/Land Development
- Responsible for work performed under minimal supervision
- Utilize expertise to organize and execute the technical quality and coordination of a broad range of project assignments
- Research and analysis, hydraulics, hydrology, water/sewer/drainage, street design, and grading
- Work on municipal or educational site development projects
- Design using Civil3D
- Work with fellow team members and supervisors to provide all necessary design, coordination, and follow-up work to ensure agency requirements and quality standards are met
- Prepare plans and profiles; research available records; prepare technical reports and studies, perform calculations, and develop specifications
- Participate in site visits, client meetings, and QA/QC
- Assist and lead efforts in obtaining approvals from jurisdiction(s) having authority
- Assist and lead efforts in grading, earthwork, hydraulics, hydrology, water, sewer, storm drain, erosion control, and street design
- Possess a thorough understanding of concepts of schedule, budget, scope of services and local design standards
Minimum Qualifications to be our Professional Civil Engineer - Site/Land Development
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in civil engineering and design for site development projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (California PE preferred. PE license from another state can be considered if candidate has ability to obtain California PE License within one year)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong technical knowledge with proven experience in preparing technical reports, designs, construction documents, specifications, and computations
- Strong time management, organizational skills, self-motivated and ability to adapt to changing priorities

- A competitive salary! The expected range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 /salary depending on experience
