Role Summary:

This individual is responsible for operating press brake, shear and a variety of benders to fabricate guards, trays, tables, shelving, racking, and other items needed throughout our manufacturing facilities.

  • Operates press brake, shear, paint equipment and other equipment to fabricate a range of needed parts such as guards, trays, fixtures, brackets, racking, tables, shelving and other related items needed by production, machine shop, engineering or maintenance.
  • Works from sketches, prints or designs to meet a specific need or create own designs.
  • Utilizes personal experience and judgement to maximize capabilities of available equipment and to help solve specific problems.
  • Performs TIG, MIG, Qxy-Acetylene and some stick welding.
  • Performs heating and bending of heavy gauge metals--knowledge of metallurgy as it affects good welding practices is required.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment, dies, welders and fixtures used in department as well as insuring the general care of all equipment.
  • Works closely with and cooperates with people in all other departments to assist and serve the needs of those areas.
  • Assists in the maintenance, modification, and component part fabrication for thermoforming equipment.
  • Plasma arc cutter and water jet experience very helpful
  • Performs other duties as requested.
