Job Description

We are seeking skilled engineers to contribute to critical tasks related to reactor design and analysis. The role involves developing reactor loading specifications, supporting stress analysis, enhancing seismic analysis models, assessing reactor head thermal rejection, and evaluating core support structures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in relevant engineering codes and analysis techniques.

  • Reactor Loading Specs
  • Create documents that define safe load limits for reactor parts.
  • Helps avoid redesigns if other parts change later.
  • Stress Analysis Support
  • Do calculations to make sure parts can handle stress and pressure.
  • Focus on reactor head, internals, and shield plates.
  • Seismic Model Support
  • Help improve a computer model that simulates how the reactor handles earthquakes.
  • Work will be done using ANSYS software or Python.
  • Heat Transfer Analysis
  • Study how heat moves from the reactor head to the building.
  • Provide data for safety and HVAC system design.
  • Fracture Evaluation
  • Analyze how radiation might cause cracks in core support parts.
  • Use ASME guidelines for this evaluation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
