DNC is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a proficiency and demonstrated experience with scheduling software, such as MS Project, to develop and update schedules, balancing deadlines with need for flexibility in modernization efforts ensuring project progresses smoothly and efficiently from planning through completion. This position provides scheduling for the ACU/DCP Upgrade Project to track and ensure adherence to established timeline, focusing on management and coordination of program activities and includes tracking progress, resolving issues and ensuring efficient operations. Individuals in the role collaborate with team members and stakeholders to meet program objectives. This position is contingent upon final contract award.
Job Requirements:
- Project scheduling and planning through developing and maintaining project schedules, assisting the government in defining milestones, deadlines, and resource allocations for the ACU/DCP Upgrade Project.
- Tracking and monitoring progress through continuous project monitoring, identifying delays and bottlenecks, and provide progress reports and propose schedule modifications to maintain efficiency, and track resources and activities ensuring alignment with modernization objectives
- Resource coordination ensuring human and material resources are allocated appropriately for project phases, manage dependencies across subsystems such as ACU, DCP, SCA and sensor sustainment projects and collaborate with engineers, program management and stakeholders
- Risk management, identify scheduling risks, including conflicts with sensor modernization efforts, develop contingency plans and coordinate with the government to mitigate schedule impacts and assess potential project delays and propose corrective strategies
- Communication & documentation, serving as the central point of communication for schedule updates and modifications; maintain and distribute project schedules to stakeholders across ASOS Tri-Agency; and ensure accurate, comprehensive documentation is aligned with modernization goals
- Program coordination & issue resolution, coordinate program activities, ensuring efficient execution; identify and resolve operational or project-related issues; and support government PM and stakeholders in achieving project objectives
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree System Engineering or similar field
- Position requires 15-20 years of experience
- Position requires NOAA background check (Public Trust)
