Job Overview:

As the community Painter, you will play a key role on the maintenance team by performing a variety of interior and exterior painting projects across the community to maintain and enhance the appearance and condition of buildings, common areas, and amenities.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including washing, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking and priming
• Apply paint, stain, or protective coatings to walls, ceilings, doors, railings, fences, curbs, benches, signage and other surfaces
• Safely operate and maintain painting tools and equipment such as sprayers, rollers, ladders, scaffolding and pressure washers
• Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to address wear, weathering or damage
• Ensure proper storage and disposal of paint and related materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule painting projects
• Perform routine inspections of painted areas to identify areas in need of attention
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure safety precautions are followed at all times
• Provide friendly, professional interaction with residents when working in or around common areas
• Assist with other maintenance tasks or special projects as assigned by the supervisor

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of surface prep, paint types, and application methods
• Ability to work safely with ladders, tools, and paint products
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and manage time
• Bilingual (preferred)

Education and Experience:

• 2+ years of painting experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Able to work in various weather conditions such as heat, rain, cold, wind, etc.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 6a - 2:30p
