Your future team:
You will become part of the environmental team within the broader Group Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Department consisting of 20 committed members across Denmark and Poland. Despite being spread across multiple locations, we maintain a tight-knit culture that values teamwork, collaboration, and a shared sense of humour. You will join a team of 7 specialists where ambitions are high and be part of a company culture where SHE is high on the agenda.
What you will be doing:
The purpose of the job is to ensure conformance to ROCKWOOL environmental policy, drive environmental performance and provide professional assistance regarding key environmental processes, be it technical, legislative, or managerial. The scope is the ROCKWOOL Group's production plants worldwide and the projects done by Group functions such as Group Development (GD) and Group Technology (GT).
Furthermore, you:
- Drive environmental performance in our factories through collaboration, follow-up and audits to Group standards
- Support technology and development projects regarding environmental processes and offering advice when acquiring and developing new factory equipment as well as documenting impact and abatement handling
- Are responsible for environmental impact assessments and permits, including environmental aspects of investment projects
- Keep yourself up to date with newest legislation, knowledge and provide relevant information to stakeholders
- Collaborate with our sustainability team and factories to ensure that common goals are realized and achieved in relation to e.g., energy, waste and water
What you bring:
- An engineering, scientific, technical background
- Degree with minimum 5 years of experience in the field of environment
- Knowledge within environmental legislation and management systems
- Experience working with multi-cultural environment is an advantage
- Experience with training and audits is an advantage
- Experience within production companies is preferred
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal communication
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Team player attitude with excellent time-management skills
