We are seeking an experienced Sr. Laboratory Technician, Quality Control, Perfumery to join our Quality Control team. We are looking for a highly driven and motivated candidate that is able to:

Your key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate shipping arrangements, prepares/provides shipping documentation for domestic & exports.
  • Maintain accurate documentation records for forklift inspection, batch sheets, deliveries, and shipments, etc.
  • Ensure that all shipments comply with International, Federal and State shipping regulations.
  • Responsible for outbound delivery via SAP transactions.
  • Consolidate customer's orders to minimize freight costs by load planning to ensure weekly sailings, full containers, or less than container shipment dates are achieved.
  • Contact point for external freight forwarders, customs brokers and international transportation carriers.
  • Communicate with steamship, air and local trucking companies to arrange all domestic & export outbound shipments.
  • Communicates directly with both internal & external customers regarding timely shipment of their orders.
  • Maintains clean and safe work area, and adheres to safety regulations and procedures, understanding the hazards of handling the various chemicals.
  • Work closely with other support functions like production, quality, HS&E, maintenance, & Logistics (Export/Import).
  • Notifying any issues to logistics team leader.
  • Perform all other duties as required.

You bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand the importance of chemical handling safety, and adhere to safety regulations, guidelines and procedures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a small team-based environment.
  • Min 5 years' experience in chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment open to constant change in demands.
  • Self-directed individual with a Can-Do attitude and the ability to work with a team.
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP ERP systems and analytical skills (MS Excel).

The hourly rate provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant's job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly rate: $27.05
