Koniag Enterprise Technology (KET) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our team supporting an Army customer. This role will focus on mechanical engineering design, assembly, and fabrication for the customers projects. The successful candidate will design mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, develop prototypes using advanced fabrication technologies, and perform 3D modeling and analysis. **Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:**
The Mechanical Engineer II will be responsible for developing mechanical engineering designs, assemblies, and fabrications for the customers projects. Principal responsibilities include:
+ Design mechanical and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies for integration into larger projects
+ Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for mechanical systems
+ Build and/or modify prototypes, parts, and assemblies utilizing 3D printing technology, waterjet cutting systems, and Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) press brake systems
+ Perform 3D design modeling utilizing SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor design software
+ Utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics Software to analyze designs
+ Perform HVAC and Heat Transfer Analysis for various systems
+ Conduct mechanical component identification, selection, and implementation
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical designs meet project requirements
+ Test and evaluate mechanical designs to verify functionality and performance
+ Document design processes, test results, and engineering changes
+ Support the integration of mechanical components with electrical and electronic systems
+ Provide technical expertise to resolve mechanical engineering challenges
+ Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, specifications, and requirements
**Education and Experience:**
**Required:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
+ 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and fabrication
+ Active Top Secret clearance with SSBI and SCI eligibility
+ Experience with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor)
+ Experience with fabrication technologies including 3D printing and CNC systems
+ Demonstrated experience in designing mechanical and electromechanical assemblies
**Required Skills and Competencies:**
+ Active Top Secret clearance with SSBI and SCI eligibility
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor for 3D design modeling
+ Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics software
