Brake Press Operator

Location: Fremont, California
Shift: Swing Shift (1:30 PM 10:00 PM)
Pay: $30.00/hour

We are hiring for a leader in custom contract manufacturing, is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join its Fremont team. This role involves operating Amada brake machines and other fabrication equipment to produce high-quality metal parts for industries including medical devices and military electronics.

• Set up and operate brake press machines (RGs, LD, HDS, ATC) for proven production jobs
• Coordinate with Engineering and fellow operators to ensure job clarity
• Safely load tools and dies, verify drawings and route sheets
• Perform first-part inspections, in-process checks, and final part verification
• Monitor cycle times and calculate parts per hour (PPH)
• Accurately log labor activities and job data using EPICOR system
• Suggest improvements for safety, quality, and productivity
• Maintain clear communication with next-shift operators

• Prior experience operating press brake machinery (Amada preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with sheet metal tolerances, bend reliefs, and tooling
• Good hand-eye coordination and physical ability to lift 35 lbs
• Willingness to work swing shifts and overtime as needed
• Fast-paced, climate-controlled facility
• High school diploma or equivalent
