Specifically, work will include design of traffic signals, highway illumination, signing and pavement marking, and ITS. Other activities may include development of traffic safety studies, railroad crossing safety analysis, utility coordination, electrical service calculations, fiber optic or wireless communications topologies.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eOrganizes and conducts engineering investigations and planning work which have a well-defined scope.\u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003eProvides engineering services during construction activities by reing shop drawings for conformance with specifications; prepares records and progress reports defining construction progress; observes construction procedures under the guidance of a more experienced professional and evaluates the results from quality control testing.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eContributes to the development of specifications and permit applications and develops miscellaneous reports. Prepares preliminary man-hour, cost and material quantity estimates.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eParticipates in quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, checking computations, and/or reing designs and drawings created by others.\u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eQUALIFICATIONS \u003c/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003eEXPERIENCE: 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eEDUCATION: Completion of Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eSPECIAL SKILLS:\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003eBasic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eMath skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eProficiency in Microsoft Office.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eExperience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eProficient interpersonal and communications skills.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eCapability to develop technical writings and reports.\u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003ePROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I. or E.I.T.
