The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project/land development, with 5+ years of solar and energy storage or comparable industry experience. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eYou will be hybrid out of our Washington, DC office and will report to the Vice President, Business Development. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat you'll do: \u003c/strong\u003e \u003cbr\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003eOriginate and develop distributed solar and energy storage projects, simultaneously managing site origination, permitting, interconnection, tax negotiation, revenue contracting, title re, and other development activities. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eDevelop sales presentations, proposals, and other materials as needed to support project development efforts. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eNegotiate complex contracts with private, commercial, and municipal counterparties. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eManage long-term relationships with property owners, energy users, and other project stakeholders. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eCommunicate effectively with project stakeholders and community members to facilitate project permitting and other initiatives. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eFoster support from state, county, and local governments, community groups, and project abutters. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eManage external consultants as needed in conjunction with project permitting activities. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eMaintain development schedule and budget to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eSupport internal finance, engineering, and construction teams to facilitate successful project financing and construction. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eUp to 60% travel is required; some evening and weekend work required. \u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat you'll bring:\u003c/strong\u003e \u003cbr\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003e5+ years of solar and storage or comparable industry experience in a business development role, with a successful track record in project/land development and stakeholder management.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eProven experience bringing projects from site origination through the various stages of project development to shovel-ready status.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eBachelor's degree or equivalent.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eCommitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eDemonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eExperience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans). Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in the Company's stock option plan.
