Drafter - AutoCAD 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Design Foundry, a visionary event design and decor studio, is expanding our team to include detail-driven and creatively inclined Drafter - AutoCAD to expand our dynamic team. This role supports the Technical Direction team in transforming concepts into constructed realitybringing immersive events, exhibits, and experiences to life. If you are fluent in 3D AutoCAD and can juggle deadlines like flaming batons, you might just be our kind of person. Role Overview The Drafter, under the direct supervision of the Technical Direction team will be interpreting designer drawings and sketches and translating them into shop build drawings and installation instructions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Auto Cad with 3D preferred. Candidates must have the ability to work well in teams, multitask, and take direction. This position has the potential to be an Assistant Technical Director for the right candidate. Core Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Technical Direction team meet on assigned events. Produce precise construction and assembly drawings using 3D AutoCAD Create work lists & communicate materials needs Multitask, prioritize, and adapt with style Stay nimble and efficient to meet evolving project deadlines Apply expert knowledge of scenic building practices and materials Health & Safety Ensure all operations align with company Health and Safety policies Identify and communicate any unsafe practices Must be physically able to climb ladders and lift 50+ lbs Understand OSHA and local/state fire and safety codes CPR/First Aid certification is a bonus star in your crown What You Bring to the Table 3+ years of experience in exhibit carpentry, event production, or theatrical scenery Mastery of 3D AutoCAD, with an eye for detail in both plans and punch lists Ability to assist in specifying technical needs Knowledge of construction techniques, lumber, and laminates Familiarity with electrical basics and stock rigging hardware Confidence in ensuring outgoing products meet a high standard of excellence Bonus Points For Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Experience managing scenic inventory and asset tracking Leadership in maintaining shop and paint area organization Openness to feedback and a passion for professional growth Flexibility to work beyond standard hourscomp time included If you're ready to help shape environments that people remember forever, let's build something incredible together. Work Schedule Office Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
