Designer / Estimator (CAD) for Spacesaver Intermountain, LLC Benefits: Medical + Company paid Dental/Vision/Short and Long Term Disability/Life Insurance/ 401k with a profit sharing match. Hybrid work schedule: you will have the flexibility to work remotely a couple days each week. SUMMARY: Provides support to Sales Representatives by managing all aspects of design and project estimating process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Participates as needed in review/design process to evaluate client needs and determine scope of services required by client. Performs services as indicated on the Design Request (i.e., building shell, preliminary space plan, elevations, renderings, pricing, presentations, installation drawings, etc.). Calls and emails vendors and manufacturers to request quotes, current information, samples and other product information as needed. Organizes and maintains numerous files related to the proposal and ordering processes. Organizes and maintains records to be placed in central files for future reference. Updates and maintains vendor information including contact information, discounting, terms, catalogs, literature, etc. Produces complete, accurate, on-time specifications and cost estimates using current specifying programs, standards, and procedures. Transfers this data along with other relevant information, paperwork and special instructions for proposal generation. Reviews all drawings, samples and related information with Sales Representatives prior to client meetings. Makes changes in the material as necessary. Compiles product costs, vendor quotes, freight estimates and installation budgets to produce accurate project estimates and pricing. Finalizes and generates copies of all necessary drawings required for installation (i.e., equipment plan, elevations, details etc.). Organizes drawings to ensure they are current and reference ready at all times. Assists in maintaining an organized and current job folder. Maintains up-to-date and accurate design hours records according to current department standards. Works good in teaming environments and is a good communicator (written and oral). EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree in drafting, engineering, architecture and/or equivalent education and experience. Strong computer skills required including knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
