The Department of Facility Maintenance , Public Building and Electrical Maintenance Division is hiring for a Plumber in Honolulu. Under the general supervision and direction of the Lead Plumber or Plumbing Supervisor, this position will participate in the installation, maintenance and repair of all sprinkler systems, gas, water, sewer and drainage systems, mains, lines and connections involving public buildings, related structures and appurtenances that are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Facility Maintenance.
Special Work Requirements : This position serves as a Disaster Response Worker and sometimes requires working beyond the normal workday, on weekends, as necessary, to meet schedules and deadlines. May be called to work while on off-duty status to respond to laborer emergencies. Employee shall provide a valid after-hours contact number. This position is required to have unescorted access to the Joint Traffic Management Center (JTMC) and the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) Headquarters and any police station. Any employee with unescorted access to secured areas and equipment related to the JTMC requires a fingerprint-based national criminal history record check prior to assignment to this position authorized by HRS846-2.7 (b)(37) and in accordance with JTMC Policy No. 2016-B.06, Fingerprint-Based Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) and CHRC Clearance. A separate background check is required for HPD.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT :
1. Valid Hawaii State journey-level plumber's certificate of registration.
