Ready to join a national industry leader and grow your career? Roosevelt Paper Company – North America’s largest converter and distributor of fine printing and packaging paper – is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our high-performing team in Alsip, IL.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot & repair: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems
  
  
• Perform installations, overhauls, and upgrades on rewinders, sheeters, trimmers & facility equipment
  
  
• Work hands-on with motors, pumps, compressors, gears, clutches, brakes
  
  
• Handle light machining, preventive maintenance, welding & fabrication
  
  
• Read and follow manuals, schematics, and technical specs
  
  

Shifts Available

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  
  
• 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (paper converting or similar industry preferred)
  
  
• Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills
  
  
• Willingness to work with a supportive, safety-focused team

salary: $62,400 - $72,800 per year

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
• Installations and overhauls to equipment, machinery and facilities, including rewinders, sheeters and trimmers.
• Hydraulic & pneumatic systems, basic electrical circuits, motors, gears, compressors, pumps, clutches and brakes.
• Perform other tasks such as light machining, preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubricating parts as well as welding and fabricating parts.
• Ability to follow written instructions from manuals, schematics, specifications and manufacturer’s directions required.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge in a paper converting facility or similar industry setting preferred.

The essential functions of this role include:
