Role Summary

We are seeking a Kafka Admin Architect (Contract) to manage the Confluent Kafka platform across hybrid environments. The role involves configuring, monitoring, and automating Kafka infrastructure to support mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Deploy and manage Kafka clusters using Confluent Platform.

- Set up and monitor brokers, Zookeeper/KRaft, Schema Registry, and Control Center.

- Handle topic configuration, security (RBAC, TLS/SASL), and auditing.

- Automate deployment and scaling using Helm, Ansible, or Terraform.

- Design DR and replication strategies with Confluent Replicator or Cluster Linking.

Required Skills

- 5+ years in distributed systems/platform engineering.

- 2+ years Kafka administration with Confluent.

- Experience with Kafka internals, Kafka Connect, and Control Center.

- Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation.

- Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent monitoring tools.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Confluent Cloud or AWS MSK.

- Familiarity with Kubernetes and GitOps practices.

- Financial/Banking industry experience is a plus.
