Design Engineer (Sitework)

FWH Associates, P.A., headquartered in Toms River, NJ provides clients with the

We are currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Design Engineer in the
Sitework Division. This position is based in the Toms River, NJ office.

Duties/Responsibilities:
This position supports the mission of the sitework Division by collaborating with the
licensed engineer and preparing engineering designs or evaluations for various
projects. They will be a part of the design team in the execution and management of
projects.
Design of stormwater management systems for new construction and existing
developments.
Grading or regrading of new construction and existing developments, including
roads, retaining walls, swales and stormwater management basins.
Prepare bid specifications and contract documents for new construction and
repair projects, including the preparation of supporting construction
documents or details.
Perform progress inspections of construction projects and prepare construction
observation reports.
All aspects of project management, including communication with project
inspectors, technicians, and clients.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills and ability to use sound
engineering judgement.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Demonstrated project leadership and teamwork capabilities.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with computer systems to maintain project documents including,
but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (AutoCad a plus).
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Land
Development.
2-3 years of experience in grading and drainage design and analysis of
stormwater basins.
Experience in a construction or engineering office.
Professional Licensure preferred.
