Survey Technician
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ (Onsite)
Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $35 - $36 hour
Our clienta fast-growing civil engineering firm with a strong regional presenceis seeking a skilled Survey Technician to support high-impact projects across the area. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity to work with a collaborative team and contribute to meaningful infrastructure and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Create deed and reference maps to visualize survey data.
Prepare and configure data for efficient field operations.
Analyze and convert post-survey data to support project execution.
Perform construction layout calculations, as-built surveys, and detailed sketches.
Generate grade sheets and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
Conduct topographic analyses and draft Metes & Bounds descriptions.
Produce FEMA Elevation Certificates and Subdivision/Lot Consolidation Plans.
Mentor CAD Drafters and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.
Translate field data, sketches, and maps into accurate mapping solutions.
Ensure high-quality plan presentation and precise survey traverse adjustments.
Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on surveying experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proven ability to produce clean, accurate, and professional work.
Understand field survey operations and the construction/engineering industry.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and software.
