Job Summary:
As a Project Manager , you will take full ownership of assigned structural steel projects—from kickoff through closeout. You’ll coordinate schedules, manage budgets, oversee subcontractors, and maintain clear communication between our internal team, general contractors, and steel erectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the liaison between the fabrication shop, general contractor, and on-site steel erector
Coordinate delivery and installation sequencing for structural and miscellaneous steel
Set up and maintain project delivery and installation schedules
Issue purchase orders and subcontracts to subcontractors and erectors
Attend jobsite and internal project meetings as necessary
Work closely with the change order and accounting departments on change documentation and monthly pay applications
Maintain and update internal project tracking documents
Manage the project close-out process and ensure a clean handoff
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and field teams
Travel to job sites as needed (overnight travel may be required)
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction, with specific experience in steel fabrication or erection
Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfort working with all levels of the organization, from field crews to executives
Proficiency with scheduling and project documentation tools preferred
