Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of a complex construction project, ensuring OSHA compliance and best-in-class safety standards.

  • Act as a key adviser to executive leadership, reviewing and ensuring implementation of contractor safety plans.

  • Provide oversight of Health & Safety (H&S) management procedures and documentation.

  • Conduct daily field observations and inspections (approx. 70% field-based), promoting safe behaviors and identifying potential risks.

  • Lead and participate in safety meetings , training workshops, and daily activity briefings.

  • Ensure all subcontractors and contractors meet safety competency requirements.

  • Actively promote Health & Safety initiatives and a growth mindset , encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Maintain and submit all required safety reports, audits, and logs (approx. 30% admin work).

  • Engage directly with clients, general contractors, and site personnel to align safety goals and practices.

Qualifications Required:
  • 10+ years of hands-on construction safety experience , with formal training in construction health and safety management.

  • Demonstrated expertise on data center or mission-critical facility builds .

  • Strong background in contractor communication and collaboration with design teams and project professionals.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in computer systems and safety documentation tools .

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED ; Associates degree preferred.

Preferred:
  • Bachelors degree in occupational safety, environmental health, or a related field.

  • Experience acting as an Owners Representative on major construction projects.

  • Familiarity with NFPA 70e and relevant safety protocols.
