Business Development Manager III

Summary
The ideal candidate will blend domain knowledge, technical expertise and thought leadership to create both customer and product strategies, build strong client relationships, and drive growth within the semiconductor space. This position will link our internal team (technical and product management) with the external sales team and the direct customer base. The Business Development Manager assesses the market space, steers the product roadmap, establishes customer strategies, and defines solutions that optimize growth for the company.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Market assessment / competitive analysis.
- Define value propositions, discriminators, and key messages.
- Global customer strategies. (consistency across sales regions)
- Partner w/ Marketing to refine/disseminate customer messaging & competitive collateral.
- Key account management. (top revenue & penetration accts)
- Customer relationship & intimacy. (build key relationships that help win business)
- Voice of the customer to product/applications/development. (shape product roadmaps)
- Product partner for sales team. (guidance)
- Product solution experts for presales. (define quote architecture & coordinate demo’s)
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of business or engineering; MBA highly desirable.
- 7+ years of experience in electronic product assembly equipment, product development, sales or marketing.
- Exposure to the semiconductor industry.
- Demonstrated ability to assess markets, define value propositions, and create effective messaging.
- Assertive nature; driving results while respecting people.
- Experience with multi-level, direct and indirect global distribution channels is preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership characteristics to engage effectively with global sales, engineering and applications teams.
- Ability to make effective customer presentations.
Responsibility for Quality Procedures or Direct Product Quality
- Adheres to Universal Quality System policies and procedures and uses Total Cycle Time principles and standard problem solving tools to continuously improve work processes.
Physical Demands
- Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.
- Remaining stationary for extended periods and needs to be mobile enough to navigate through work areas.
- Ability to travel to customer sites, trade shows or conferences; 20%+ expected. (domestic and international)

Target Annual Base Pay: $110,000 – $150,000 + Robust Benefits
