SUMMARY:
The primary function of this position, is to troubleshoot, diagnose and make repairs to machinery, equipment and the facility.
DUTIES:
- Promote the improvement of overall reliability, in addition to responding to breakdowns
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include carpentry, welding, mechanical., heating and A/C, plumbing, drywall work, painting, etc., as directed by Management
- Perform unscheduled maintenance requests as directed
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance procedures as required
- Promote safety in the work place
- Complete any other routine or non-routine tasks as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 years hands on experience in industrial maintenance
- Must be skilled in the use of various power and hand tools, as well as knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, HVAC
- Must work well under limited supervision
- Familiarity with blueprints and electrical schematics a plus
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Forklift experience preferred
- Must be fluent in English

Measuring devices, test equipment, lathe, drill press, power saw(s), welding equipment, a variety of hand power and air tools, computer

- Lifting: Average weight to be lifted – 20# with the maximum weight up to 50#

- Reaching: Frequently
- Standing: Daily for extended periods of time
- Walking: Frequently
- Pushing / Pulling: Occasionally up to 150 lbs.
- Grasping / Gripping: Frequently
- Sitting: Rarely
- Climbing Stairs: Rarely
- Visual: Must be able to read from computer, or printed matter and must be able to read a ruler to nearest 1/64 th of an inch
