Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting equipment and process improvements throughout the plant. You will be responsible for designing equipment process improvements, including conveyors, robot cells, lifters, rack storage, and test cells, to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will manage projects for improvement, including budgeting and tracking, and support Maintenance with equipment escalations requiring problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Design equipment process improvements to enhance plant efficiency.
  • Manage improvement projects, including budgeting and tracking.
  • Support Maintenance with equipment escalations requiring problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with a team of Mechanical Engineers to focus on project improvements.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical.
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment and machine design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Inventor.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PLC operations is preferred.
Work Environment

This position operates in a 24/7 facility with standard working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. While off-shift work is rare, it may occur during large project installations or shutdown periods in July and December. The team reports to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager and includes two other Mechanical Engineers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $45.00/hr.
