Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

As a key member of the design team, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems for Commercial Water Features, Irrigation Pump Stations, and Rain Water Harvesting Systems. This position involves procuring electrical equipment for construction projects, programming VFDs and PLCs, and conducting Q&A checks on electrical equipment prior to shipment. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of Electrical Engineering, strong project management skills, knowledge of the construction document process, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for Commercial Water Features, Irrigation Pump Stations, and Rain Water Harvesting Systems.
  • Procure electrical equipment for construction projects.
  • Program Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Perform quality assurance checks on electrical equipment before product shipment.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure project success.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in Commercial Electrical Design.
  • Experience with Commercial Grade Water Features or Pools.
  • Knowledge of NEC and UL508A standards.
  • Proficiency in Electrical Estimation and Procurement.
  • Expertise in electrical design, including control panel design and electrical systems for water systems and fountains.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Skill in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical for schematic design.
  • Ability to create control panels from scratch.

Work Environment

The work environment involves collaboration with a dynamic team using advanced technologies for electrical design projects. The position may require occasional site visits to oversee installations and ensure compliance with design specifications. Work hours are generally standard business hours, and the dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
