Job Description The Electrical Shop Supervisor oversees all aspects of electrical and electronic assembly operations, ensuring that quality, safety, and efficiency standards are consistently met. This role involves managing a team of assemblers, coordinating with engineering and quality departments, and resolving technical issues to meet production goals. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of electrical assemblers and testers.
- Oversee electrical assembly, soldering, inspection, and testing processes.
- Set up and conduct engineering, R&D, and quality tests.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults in systems and equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Load custom software onto flash media and manage test environments.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and ESD safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Advanced electrical and electronic testing proficiency.
- Familiarity with Mil-Std 810 and DO-160 specifications.
- Ability to design and perform tests at various production stages.
- Strong electro-mechanical skills and analytical ability.
- Experience with complex systems involving multiple sub-assemblies.
- Skilled in using tools like micrometers, dielectric testers, force gauges, and temperature chambers.
- Ability to use micrometers, pressure and height gauges, temperature chambers, dielectric testers, force gauges, pH equipment, and vibration equipment.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in a technical field preferred.
- 7+ years of supervisory experience in electrical assembly.
- 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing and testing.
- JSTD/IPC certification required (trainer certification preferred).
- Proficient with testing tools and standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, DO-160).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
