KEP Electric is currently hiring experienced Licensed Journeyman Residential Electricians in the Fort Wayne, IN area. If you're hard-working, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality electrical service, this is the opportunity you've been looking for.
This role requires an active Journeyman Electrician License in Allen County, Indiana , and involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing residential electrical systems in both new builds and occupied homes. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills, in-depth knowledge of NEC codes, and excellent customer communication.
Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to scheduled and emergency residential service calls
Diagnose and repair systems including panels, breakers, lighting, outlets, GFCIs, switches, etc.
Perform home warranty repairs, ensuring homeowner satisfaction through quality work and communication
Complete service tickets accurately, documenting work performed and next steps
Ensure full compliance with NEC and OSHA standards
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and PPE in clean working order
Communicate effectively with homeowners, service coordinators, and field supervisors
Proactively identify and recommend system improvements

Required Qualifications
Active Journeyman Electrician License in Allen County, Indiana (Required)
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Residential Service Electrician
Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnostics in residential environments
Strong knowledge of NEC codes and safety standards
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Must pass background check and drug screening
Willingness to work independently and travel locally within the Fort Wayne area
Lift up to 50 pounds
Work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
