Location: Cleveland, OH Area (onsite, in-person)

Compensation: $90,000 – $145,000 annually, based on experience

SUMMARY:

A growing, privately held construction and engineering consulting firm is seeking two experienced Senior Construction Engineers to support a portfolio of public works and infrastructure projects in the Cleveland, Ohio region. This role is well-suited for seasoned civil engineering professionals with expertise in project delivery, particularly with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) standards and processes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, manage, and execute complex engineering projects in both public and private sectors

  • Oversee project teams, ensuring work aligns with schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks

  • Participate in project planning, coordination, and execution from pre-construction through closeout

  • Communicate with permitting, zoning, and municipal authorities regarding project approvals

  • Act as primary liaison for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies

  • Monitor project compliance with engineering standards and state/local agency requirements

  • Ensure technical accuracy of plans, specifications, and reports

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (required)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (required; Ohio preferred or ability to obtain)

  • 5 years of professional experience in civil or construction engineering

  • Past experience working with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), and familiarity with ODOT procedures, guidelines, and documentation

  • Proven ability to manage large-scale public infrastructure projects

  • Experience with LPA (Local Public Agency) program is a plus
