Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery to move dirt, soil, rocks, and other materials
- Collaborate with construction teams and supervisors to meet project goals
- Ensure equipment maintenance and safety procedures are followed
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Analyze terrain and elevation for proper equipment use and material removal
- Inspect equipment for safety and maintenance needs
- Adhere to local and federal safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Experience operating heavy machinery, specifically dozers
- Ability to cut grade, slope and trenches ideal Knowledge of safety measures and equipment maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Strong communication and teamwork skills Physically fit to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit and operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb onto and off of equipment Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
