Note: The hourly rate for this position is $22 - $28 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Hours are 40-50 per week, Monday to Friday, day shift. Occasional Saturdays could be required
- Review and interpret blueprints and schematics to building specifications
- Preparing equipment and tools, including scaffolding, ladders, tape measures, straightedges, hand tools, and power tools
- Chalk lining references lines and points to level metal frames and furring channels
- Measuring and cutting metal runners, studs, and furring channels to required sizes
- Installing horizontal and vertical metal studs to frames to attach wallboards
- Measuring, cutting, fitting, and fastening drywall boards onto the frames
- Cutting tidy openings into boards for electrical outlets, vents, and fixtures
- Installing metal framing and decorative trim for windows, doorways, and vents
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Perform all tasks and follow instructions both oral and written
- Follow all safety protocol per OSHA guidelines
- Complete projects and tasks to the highest skill level possible
Qualifications:
- 4 years minimum of previous experience in commercial carpentry REQUIRED
- Carpenters with versatile skill sin more than one specialty is a HUGE plus!
- OSHA-10 Construction Certification is a plus but not required
- Must have your own tools and the ability to bring them on site
- Must have good situational awareness
- Must be able to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Position does REQUIRE a drug screen
