People Ready Skilled Trades is seeking commercial carpenters of ALL LEVELS for a long-term assignment in Lawrenceville, VA. We offer medical, vision, dental, and life insurance, weekly pay, as well as referral bonuses.

Note: The hourly rate for this position is $21 - $25 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

• Use various tools to cut and craft wood, metal, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall Employ hand tools such as squares, levels, and chisels, and power tools like sanders, circular saws, nail guns, and welding machines
• Fasten materials together using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives, and perform a final check to ensure accuracy Use a tape measure on nearly every project to reduce waste and ensure that cut piece

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in residential and commercial carpentry preferred Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to read blueprints
• Capable of repeatedly lifting 50 pounds to load and unload wood and other materials, as well as transport tools and materials to and from the jobsite Reliable transportation
• Possess hand and power tools including tin snips
• Able to work all required days and hours
• Able to work in all kinds of weather
