Non-emergency Medical Transport Driver (independent contractor)

We are seeking a reliable Driver (independent contractor) to join our team in Lake County, California. In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to clients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their journey. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in various driving roles, including paratransit, delivery driving, limousine services, or bus driving.

Duties:

Safely operate vehicles to transport clients to designated locations in Northern California (inside and outside Lake County, CA).
Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle, performing regular checks and necessary maintenance.
Communicate effectively with clients to ensure a positive experience and address any concerns.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations while adhering to company policies regarding safety and service.
Provide assistance to passengers as needed, including helping with boarding and disembarking.
Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
Collaborate with dispatchers or coordinators to optimize routes and schedules.
Ability to lift and/or maneuver a minimum of 50 pounds.
Willingness to work early or late shifts as needed.
Willingness to complete transport assignments on short notice.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a driver in roles such as paratransit, delivery driver, limousine driver, van driver, or bus driving.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times while interacting with passengers.
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices is preferred.
Must be able to work independently and manage time efficiently.
At least 23 years of age and insurable (clean driving record)
No misdemeanor or felony convictions
