**Job Description**

This position involves working with wiring schematics and layout drawings to wire control panels. The electrician will also be responsible for completing temporary interconnect wiring for testing procedures under supervision, as well as various maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for plant equipment. Travel is infrequent but may be required, and some overtime may be necessary.

**Responsibilities**

+ Complete panel building, sensor installation, and machine wiring.

+ Perform temporary interconnect wiring for testing procedures.

+ Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for plant equipment as needed.

+ Read and interpret electrical schematics and layout drawings.

+ Mount inverter drives, PLCs, circuit breakers, transformers, relays, contractors, and terminals.

+ Utilize hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.

+ Use drill, tap, and knockout punches for component mounting inside control panels.

+ Perform point-to-point wiring of internal components.

+ Familiarize with electric motor connections for testing.

**Essential Skills**

+ At least 5 years of previous industrial control panel and machine wiring experience.

+ Ability to learn and perform LOTO procedures.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and basic layout drawings.

+ Competence in using hand tools, hand crimpers, wire cutters, wire strippers, and electrical testing equipment.

+ Familiarity with EMT, Flex, and Rigid conduit (training provided).

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Basic tool kit required with various size and type screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchet and socket set, wire strippers, utility knife, pliers, side cutters, snips, multi-meter, files, hack saw, high-speed drill, tap handle, small hammer, punch, and Tee Square.

+ Specialty tools provided including crimpers, punches, and jig saw.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
