Now Hiring - Warehouse Supervisor**
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join a leading fasteners manufacturer in Jordan/Weedsport NY area. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse functions by coordinating the shipping, receiving, and storage activities of the warehouse.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prioritize orders for the day and coordinate with warehouses/machine shop for material transfers.
- Negotiate rates/discounts with freight companies.
- File and follow up on claims with freight companies for damaged shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents and arrange pickups with trucking companies.
- Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Coordinate any necessary after-hours shipping/receiving in case of early/late truck arrival.
- Ensure basic maintenance standards (scale calibration, forklift service, etc).
- Check orders for accuracy.
- Coordinate and oversee inventory cycle counts throughout the year.
- Maintain records and files for relevant warehouse functions.
- Ensure the warehouse is in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform a daily inspection of the warehouse.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.
- Ensure efficient processes and alter as needed to maximize productivity.
- Maintain and enhance a team environment and motivate production staff.
**Qualifications:**
- 2+ years experience in warehouse and logistics supervision
- Experience supervising a team of 10 or more individuals
- Experience with warehouse and inventory management systems
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
